You’re supporting local farmers, and enjoying fresh – and affordable – Catskills food.  You may qualify for Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) checks – it’s a booklet of five $4 checks, giving you $20 to spend at local farmers markets. Plus, 6 farmers markets in Sullivan County (Monticello, Liberty, plus the 4 Sullivan Fresh Markets on the Move) also accept SNAP/EBT benefits.   • To receive your checks, visit the Sullivan County Office for the Aging.
  • SFMNP checks are being distributed now and are valid through November 2022. Share with another senior if you can’t use them (no i.d. required).

  • Senior FMNP checks can only be used on fresh fruits and vegetables, but you can always use cash and/or SNAP benefits for other food items!
